Biography:

Teresa J. Rhyne, is a partner in the law firm of Carney and Delany, LLP where her practice focuses on developing comprehensive and sound estate and retirement plans for business owners and individuals, in addition to resolving tax controversies matters with the IRS, EDD, FTB and SBE on behalf of individuals and businesses. Teresa acquired her legal expertise at U.C. Santa Barbara, where she graduated with a BA and high honors in Law and Society, and Loyola Law School, where she earned a Doctorate of Law. Her strong educational background is enhanced by over 17 years in the field of business and tax law.

Teresa has served on the Board of Directors of the Riverside County Bar Association, and has twice been elected as Chairperson of the Riverside County Bar Association Tax and Business Section.

In addition to her law practice, Teresa is involved in a wide range of business and community activities, including The Raincross Club, Kiwanis Club of Riverside, Riverside’s Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors (legal counsel) and past chair of the Leadership Riverside program, The board of directors for The Non-Profit Resource Center, the board of directors for Alternatives to Domestic Violence, UCR’s Planned Giving Advisory Board, The Community Foundation’s Planned Giving Advisory Board, the YWCA’s Professional Women’s Council and UCR’s Management Forum. She has Chaired the Professional Campaign for United Way of the Inland Valleys and received their Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award. Teresa is currently the Vice-President of the board of directors of the Riverside Humane Society Pet Adoption Center and previously the host for their “Talk with the Animals” cable TV show.
